From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have removed data that is well and truly out of date and incorrect in the interests of fact. For example the info where tidal energy zones exist. You have made editions to the text that highlight incorrect evidence and have inferred I am doing so as am matter of vandalism.

Dr. Brian Kirke is the possibly the worlds leadin scientist that is currently working on tidal power. His work speaks for himself. There is no commercial interwest other then science being served. How about MCT and their blatant adveretising --- this is not fair or just to single out tidal stream energy as it is the new kid on the block that is capable of providing energy suitable for green house abation.

Please check the facts before you accuse people as it is not helpful or in the interests of Wiki.

Perhaps we should tak this over. I am available to provide evidence to support the claims above. Do you have SKYPE?

The altwernative is to ask for a mediation. How do you wish to reslove this?

Please stop deleting large amounts of text from the Tidal power page. Fig 14:10, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

In 1978 Gilbert and Foremann of the Grumman Aero Space insudtry allude to the performance of shrouded turbines after they tested and published data of a 3.25 times incrrease in performance in turbine efficency.

This is old hat as there is much more new data on efficencies over 3 times.

In 2002 Dr. Brian Kirke publish a report where 3.84 times (nearly 4 times --- so to sate 3 times is conservative) was achievred from a 1.2 m turbine. This went out to over 300 scientific journals. It was later revised when a larger commercial prototype was tested in 2005 at between 3 and 4 times. The evidence is no longer considered theory but fact.

Professor Memo Coiro of Naples University Aero Space has also weighed into the debate that shrouded turbines are capable of many fold the performance of open or non-shrouded turbines.

To say there is a clear agenda from editing on Wiki so the very best and latest information is available to the web is a non-sense. Sorry, no offence meant........Perhaps you have not come across these articles!? But all the same the truth is out there and it is undeniable that the energy obtained from a turbine in a dust or shroud is undeniable. That is unless there is another agenda. I notice that open turbines are promoted on your site and that old technology such as barrages is elevated to the top of the page. Barrages suffer from the dual problems of extremely high cost and environmental issues as they flood two eco systems to work. Now I ask you if you have any sort of green common sense, do you really want to place a system that has little if any environmental issues if any associated with it, that is capable of huge surpluses of energy for a green hungry community to learn that tidal steam is way down the bottom of the page????

As an industry expert I have edited the page in an un biased and factual way. NEVER have I done anything that has in any way been remotely close to vandalism.

Perhaps you have mixed me up with another?????

I would really Like to sort this out as I think maybe you have well meaning intentions --- you have just made an error without being in full knoweledge of the facts.

Please come back as I would like to address these matters with you in person if possible so that you understand I do so without malice or guile.

I have SKYPE or can call on VOIP> if you prefer.

OR, maybe you would like to present this and other arguements to your Wiki peers for a second opinion in which case I would be most pleased to make myself available for the event.

In the meantime I believe it is right, just and fair for me to be allowed to edit the page, subject to your scrutiny, AND, if you have any questions you can direct them to me for discussion between us?????

Please come back as I wish to learn more about your passion for the subject .... it is one dear to me also , so perhaps we can work together for a better Wiki?

Tidal power. Please desist from removing the qualification about the energy efficiency of ducted turbines. Your agenda is clear from your other actions, but if you have faith in your technology, then you could defend it with scientific argument on the discussion page and we can agree on some common language rather than just deleting and restoring the same sentence forever.

You are a living contradiction. You bully me on the Tidal Power page ridiculing my edits as false amd misleading. You rem,ove my edits that are true and correct and then have me blocked for an infraction of some Wiki law that I had no idea existed. You insult my knoweledge and experience as one of the world leading turbine designers (a fact I notice you have not taken up with me to prove --- are you afraid of being proven wrong?) yet seem to have little if any comprenhensive understanding of the complexity of what you write. I offer you an olive branch and you spit in my face. You then turn up here and offer me advice.

Just what type of full moon, tree hugger are you?

I am at a loss whether to embrace you as a friend or dismiss you as a raving looney.

Hello, it is customary on Wikipedia to place new discussion items at the bottom of a talk page, see the Layout section in WP:TALK. I have been so free to move your contribution to the bottom. Crowsnest (talk) 08:15, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
