The people in this list have proclaimed themselves Pope during the 20th century. These proclamations were made either with no Conclave at all or with a very small Conclave typically consisting of themselves and a small number of their personal associates.
Because these men are not conventionally recognized as being Popes, they are listed by their civil names rather than by their "regnal" names.
