The 20 Greatest Country Bands is a one hour television special held in 2005 by CMT. The special counted down the bands who have made the greatest contribution to the genre, as well as leaving behind the greatest impact.
It was decided by hundreds of artists and music historians from all over the country.
The program that first aired on April 16th of that year.
