Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia articles, such as those you made to O'Neill's of Puerto Rico / O'Neill's of the Fews, even if your ultimate intention is to fix them. Such edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Dorftrottel (troll) 15:01, April 9, 2008 15:01, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to O'Neill's of Puerto Rico / O'Neill's of the Fews. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. J.delanoy gabs adds 15:08, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Do you need help?
Hi, I'm the administrator who has blocked your IP from editing [[O'Neill's of Puerto Rico / O'Neill's of the Fews]] for the next 15 minutes. Could you please explain what you're trying to do with your editing to this article? I don't want to be forced to extend your ban, but you need to tell me what you're trying to do and then maybe I can help you. You can reply to my query by editing this page directly. Thanks. -- Netsnipe ► 15:27, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In the future, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. Taking a closer look at your edits you also seem to be clicking random buttons in your editing toolbar and inserting random curly brackets here and there without really knowing what you're doing. The end result is that you're filling up the article with garbage code and wasting our time having to clean up after you. -- Netsnipe ► 15:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page The Yardbirds do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'youtube\.com' (link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwRc2of5Li4) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. an image or a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 16:21, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to I'm Waiting for the Man. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

[edit] From a Librarian
I am a librarian at the Jersey City Free Public Library, one of those in the library community who is a fan and frequent user of (and occasional contributor to) Wikipedia. I became of aware of this issue when I noticed a message box attached to an entry related to Jersey City. As you may have surmised, we have a great many public access computers which I hope are the source of these annoying edits that have drawn so much attention. I have no idea, of course, whom that could be, but I would like to apologize for the trouble this has caused, and thank the tireless Wikipedians who continue to make this crazy experiment work. So I guess next time I want to edit from work I'll set up an account... John B, local history librarian
OK, so now that we're blocked, how can I set up an account? Or, could someone please edit the "Mayors of Jersey City" page to say that Cucci served from 1985-1989 - not 1985-1889 (which would be a neat trick that even our Mayor Hague would be hard pressed to pull off...)
