[edit] Welcome
Hello! I've noticed that you have edited Wikipedia without logging in to an account. It's great that you've been contributing; however, I urge you to create an account. Here is a list of the benefits of having an account:
- You can create new pages
- You can use watchlists
- You can upload images
- You can keep your account from being unfairly blocked if you share an IP address
- You can use scripts to better fight annoying vandalism
- After four days, you can edit semi-protected pages
- After a while, you might be able to become an administrator
There are no cons to signing up for an account. In fact, you can find even more pros at the "why create an account" page! Signing up is completely free and you don't need to enter any personal information! Plus you can have a user page, which you can use to show your interests, style, or nearly whatever! So, unless you can think of a con, please sign up for an account right now! Toddst1 (talk) 15:55, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
Dear madam/sir:
Welcome to Wikipedia!
Today you removed a passage from the 'criticisms' section of the article 'microfinance'. The passage, which was probably written by a person from the developing world whose first language was not English, pointed out that interest rates are in the range of 2.5-4% a month among microfinance institutions. You deleted it without explaining why. While there was no citation on the passage, if you have ever worked in the developing world you know that the fact the writer pointed out is correct and cannot be disputed. I have worked in over 20 developing countries on microfinance and in few would these interest rates be viewed as unusual. There are good reasons why interest rates are that high, but the fact that they are is worthy of note and definitely encyclopedic. There is no justification for reverting his work. Your deletion smacks of censorship.
Please join the Wikipedia club by identifying yourself on your user page. If you have an issue with something this writer has written, go to their talk page and discuss it with them. Or put a note of the paragraph asking for a citation. That note looks like this: [citation needed].
Reverting should be done only as a last resort, and not without clearly explaining why you did it on the talk page of the article.Brett epic 01:12, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing that out. That was clearly an error on my part. It appeared in the recent changes scan that you had removed the section on gay rights. Clearly this is not the case and is my mistake. I have reinstated your edits to that section. My apologies for the inconvenience. I have also struck through my warning above for the benefit of future visitors to this page so they can see that that was a bad warning. Again, my apologies. Toddst1 (talk) 15:54, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
