[edit] Daylight saving time
Please don't do that as it's not the standard way articles are presented for editing and actually makes it harder. On top of that, changing the lines from

[edit] Time zone
"...is so wide that I can't easily display it on my non-superwide screen." That's interesting, what resolution are you uisng on your monitor? It might make a difference but I don't see it at 800 X 600 right now at home on the 19 in. I edit at work and at home so I can use different size monitors, 15, 17 & 19 inch. The only time I ever see something scroll off the screen is when a new line begins with an indent and it (or the paragragh is long):
A sentence like this will eventually scroll off the side
I am also wondering if you see it in a lot of pages or just that one. If it's just that one I wonder if the Daylight saving time#Computing is to blame. Open Daylight saving time in an editing window and copy it into User:CambridgeBayWeather/Sandbox ands save it. See if it then scrolls off your screen. If it does go to the "Computing" section and remove the the items included in the "<code></code>" tags and save again to see if that is the problem. - The code tags are there for some reason. My guess is that it's to stop the stuff breaking over a line. Aghh. I just re-read what you are saying. Yes you are right the "differences" view can cause the page to scroll off the side. I was thinking of the page view. I'm sorry about that. I am using my son's computer right now and as per usual have everything in Maxthon on XP. When I looked at the links you provided neither one scrolled off the side (19 inch monitor at 1920 X 1440). When you mentioned about a different browser I checked in Firefox and sure enough the differences cause the scroll problem. I can't fiddle with the Firefox because it's his browser and his computer till I get mine restored. I have enough of mine running that I could check the differences on the Maxthon browser and yes the problem seem to be browser specific. Is there any other non-Mozilla browser available for Solaris? If there is it might be worth a try. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 09:39, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Away for the day. I'm back on my computer now and Firefox gives me the same problem that you are seeing. Next suggestion is to try at Wikipedia:Village pump (technical). This must have come come up before and there may be some information there. If not you could ask there and see if someonelse knows a way around it, you might want to mention that it appears to be a Firefox/Mozilla in Solaris/Linux/WinXP and makes no difference if logged in or not.
