- Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Lenny Bruce . Please be more careful when editing articles and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. All your other edits have been reverted as well. - Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Cy Young, but we regretfully cannot accept original research. Please find and add a reliable citation to your recent edit so we can verify your work. Uncited information may be removed at any time. Thanks for your efforts, and happy editing! - For the "concept" to "conceit" change, you should take your thoughts to the talk page and see what sort of response you get. --Kukini hablame aqui 07:17, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content which gains a consensus among editors. --Kukini hablame aqui 07:18, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
208.120.227.250 07:20, 20 June 2007 (UTC)It's been "conceit" for over one year-- check the page history. I should know, I put it there. Your perceptions of an "edit war" are yours and yours alone.
- Regardless of our different understandings of the English language, please do not revert again. Kukini hablame aqui 07:22, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
208.120.227.250 07:28, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Please check any online dictionary. Though it is perhaps ironic that the word also means "A favorable and especially unduly high opinion of one's own abilities or worth," the word here means "an elaborate, fanciful metaphor, esp. of a strained or far-fetched nature; a fancy, purely decorative article."

- At this point, it does not matter. User:Petermill also engaged in this edit concern prior to me. But at this point, if you feel a need to revert it, it is best to wait 24 hours, due to the rule. Best,Kukini hablame aqui 07:29, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
208.120.227.250 07:30, 20 June 2007 (UTC)I shall certainly wait at least "One Exceedingly Fine Day on the User Talk Pages of Wikipedia."—Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.120.227.250 (talk • contribs)
- You might also want to consider signing your talk on talk pages at the end of whatever you write. --Kukini hablame aqui 07:33, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
208.120.227.250 07:36, 20 June 2007 (UTC)Isn't that what the four tildes (~) are for? I'm seeing the IP on every message I've left.
- You are signing, but at the beginning of each statement. Conventions on wikipedia are generally to sign your posts at the end of a given statement. This, of course is merely a convention, but it will greatly help lower any confusion that other users might experience in following your thoughts on talk pages. Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Here are some other hints and tips:
- I would recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
- When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.
If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will answer your questions as far as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. Kukini hablame aqui 07:41, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- I gotcha. Love, 208.120.227.250 07:42, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Edit Summary Request
I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini hablame aqui 07:41, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Oh
Do seriously consider joining and getting a username. You clearly have a great deal of archival baseball knowledge to contribute. g'night, --Kukini hablame aqui 07:46, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
