[edit] Charlotte CSA Population

Please check the linked reference from the US Census Bureau. The figure you keep changing to is incorrect. Please do not change the figure. Thanks. --Polaron | Talk 07:52, 13 January 2007 (UTC)

You need to update your infrom all updated Charlotte material agrees with me, 03:33, 13 January 2007.

If you're going to change the CSA population, give a source for it and change the 2005 date that goes along with it. Every time you change the CSA population to an unsourced number, you will be reverted because it is incorrect. --TinMan 20:40, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I did not change it the first time it was change by someone other than you or I,so who gives you the right to change it back,I will change it back everytime you change it,you are not authorize to change it 2.1 million.get a life.
The 2.1 million figure is sourced from the Census Bureau. Unsourced changes to statistics that are already sourced are not acceptable. If you have source, please cite it if you want to make the change. Thanks. Polaron | Talk 23:56, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
As I said earlier you have no right to change infrom that you or I did not put in there Charlotte's CSA Population on this site was 2.4 million I DID NOT PUT THAT IN AND NEITHER DID YOU ,so it is not up to you to change it to 2.1 Million LEAVE IT WHERE IT IS AT. THANK YOU.--
The properly sourced 2.1 million figure was the one in the article prior to an anonymous user randomly inflating various population figures last November. Are you saying that if somebody puts in incorrect information, only the person who originally put the incorrect information is allowed to correct it? That is just absurd. --Polaron | Talk 07:09, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Where are you getting the 2.4 million number anyway? From someone who accidentally mistyped a 4 instead of a 1? --TinMan 21:50, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

The 2.4 Million is on many Web Sites if you took the time to read them so what are you going to do change every Web Site. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 208.104.231.252 (talkcontribs).

Ok, these sites say 2.1 million: [1], [2]. The only sites I can find with the 2.4 million figure are sites that actually gain their data from Wikipedia itself (notice the language on these sites), for example: [3], [4]. Therefore, there are no official figures that support your 2.4 claim that I can find. --TinMan 04:29, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Three Reverts

Hi, and welcome. I see you have been recently trying to contribute to the Charlotte article by changing the population numbers for the metro areas. Unfortunately you have now reverted the changes of other editors more than 3 times, violating the Three Reverts Rule. If you revert the population figures again without providing a credible citation you will be reported to AIV and potentially blocked from editing. Please, helps us build a better encyclopedia by sourcing your additions and avoiding edit wars. Thanks. --Matthew 07:23, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to Charlotte, North Carolina

"Charlotte is a new, Southern city which is vastly different from established, Northern cities. It is a growing city which lacks many characteristics of “cosmopolitan” cities in the North. For example, Charlotte does not have a professional baseball team; does not have a public train system; does not have a zoo; does not have distinct ethnic neighborhoods like Chinatown or Little Italy; does not have a medical school (Charlotte just opened up a law school in 2007); etc. As of 2007, Charlotte can be more accurately described as a “hybrid" city: a combination of rural town and cosmopolitan city. It is literally in the midst of metamorphosing from a rural town into a cosmopolitan city. Jokingly, Charlotte has been described as America’s largest suburb."

Though good-faith edits are always encouraged on wikipedia, please refrain from adding the above paragraph, again. Terms like about "character" and how "suburban" or "cosmopolitan" a city is are vague and a matter of personal opinion. Consequently, the above is original research, and against wikipedia policy.--Loodog 03:25, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cities.

In response to this edit, I don't have to live in Charlotte, North Carolina in order to edit the page. There's no Wikipedia policy saying that I can't edit it. Anyone can edit the page, as long as they don't vandalize it. I also suggest you read WP:OWN as well. Acalamari 23:44, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
