Please stop introducing stuff like "see talk" or "provisional map" about images. Nobody understands what you mean and/or it is not appropriate to insert in articles and/or it is not appropriate to change other people's text in the talk pages. Thank you. The Ogre (talk) 22:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Why would nobody? Have you seen the discussion for Spanish image? It clearly states that the image is provisional. It should not be used on Wikipedia articles at all, especially without a note. However, I see your point for the "see talk", even though Wikipedia users should recognize that the image is seriously flawed. Additionally, I thought I reverted the talk page modification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.102.210.163 (talkcontribs)
The destiny of a particular image is decided in its talk page, not adding memo tags to the image all over wikipedia. If you have something to contribute to so in the proper talk page, please. Thank you. The Ogre (talk) 22:35, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Do you know why the Spanish image is all over Wikipedia though? It seems strange. There is no discussion of its credibility in the image itself except for the creator claiming it is "provisional". I am sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused. Could you please bring up both subjects wherever the bulk of the discussion on the Spanish and British maps is located? I would appreciate it. By the way, is there a better way to talk to you or is this the correct method?

What do you mean by the Spanish image? Do you mean the map of the Portuguese and Spanish empires during the period of the Iberian Union (1580-1640)? The Ogre (talk) 23:11, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Yes, that is the one I was referring to.

Maybe you should know: The last time (I remember) I made a fuss about a map was with Image:Location of Sycamore Township in Hamilton County.PNG. The only response I got was "Corrected. Nyttend 21:10, 30 May 2007 (UTC)"
