Canadian North flies direct to Cambridge Bay, Edmonton, Hay River, Inuvik, Norman Wells, Yellowknife but not Ottawa, Rankin or Iqluit, see here (PDF). First Air flies to Iqaluit see [http://www.firstair.ca/weather/index.html here. If you look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Airports#Airport article structure and then to item #5 it says (in part) that "Direct flights are not always non-stop flights".
