Are you Miterbox (talk · contribs)? Just checking, because I've been dropping vandalism warnings on their talk page for the random edits they've been adding to your talk page. If you are, I'll stop leaving the warnings. --Bobblehead (rants) 17:34, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, Yup thats me I'm testing out a bot to send WHOIS messages to IP users talkpages. I wondered what happened to the text. Thx--207.235.64.30 (talk) 17:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- And you are aware that you've been blocked indefinitely for using a bot maliciously, right?[1] You really should be talking to East718 (talk • contribs • blocks • protects • deletions • moves • rights) about getting the indefinite block lifted on your main account rather than working around the block. --Bobblehead (rants) 17:47, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I know what I SHOULD do, but I figure it would be easier to setup new account, get bots approved, run them a few months an then get my old account unblocked. People don't really seem interested in un-premablock requests unless you've got an air tight case. --207.235.64.30 (talk) 17:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- East718's criteria for unblocking you seems to be rather simple, just promise him that you won't use the bot maliciously again and it sounds like he'll unblock you. Evading a block with sockpuppets is a very good way to get you banned from editing on Wikipedia permantently, especially if you are working in the same area that you were when you got blocked before. At a minimum, you should notify East718 what you're doing. --Bobblehead (rants) 18:07, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I'll appreciate your advice and I'll it into consideration. The phrase 'until assurances are made' is rather open to interpretation (flashes of Spanish inquisition come to mind, but I digress). I'm still assessing avenues of approach. As you'll see with my dopeldanger account miterbox I'm not making edits to real articles or their talk pages, and only created pages within my own talks folder section. Therefore it is my belief I am not violating the spirit of WP:Sock. Do what you feel is right, either way I don't intend a return to WP.active editing until after the ides of march.--207.235.64.30 (talk) 18:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Problem is, you've been editing under your IP address and that counts as a sockpuppet.. You've even been edit warring with the IP address (that's why I have your page on my watchlist), so you've been using the sock abusively. It would probably be best for you if you are the one to tell East718 what is going on rather than me. If I'm the one that tells him, chances are you'll find that the IP address is blocked for an period of time and not just your named account. --Bobblehead (rants) 18:28, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- You're probably right. I'll send an email when I get back from Stats --207.235.64.30 (talk) 18:38, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

- Sent an email. Apparently the guy is hiding out because of something on his userpage abd some guy (Tim Starling bullet #3) has requested for him to be desysopped. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard&oldid=189479113#Summary So much for that approach. Guess I'll find another avenue --207.235.64.30 (talk) 21:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocking admin Deleted the main page 24 hours after blocking
Blocking Admin has unclean hands see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard&oldid=189479113#Summary, Admin used a malicious bot to edit his own page enough times to allow him to delete and replace the main page and merge the histories. A request to desysop was initiated by another admin. Admin seems to hold the actions others to higher standards than his own actions. Request not to be 'unblocked' but rather to have incident reviewed and if so necessary have the block initiated by another Admin. --207.235.64.30 (talk) 22:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I fail to see the link between this incident and your block. -- lucasbfr talk 22:27, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- What I am saying is that the actions of this Admin are so outragous and egregious (such an extent that they still haven't been fully resolved) that he has no right to autoblock accounts. If I've failed to make my point, or if you disagree, I'm asking that this block be executed by anyone other than this particular Admin. (WP:Don't Delete the main page)--207.235.64.30 (talk) 22:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- This IP is blocked directly, and it doesn't matter what the blocking admin may have done to the main page. There is no need for the block to be executed by anybody else; it is valid. - auburnpilot talk 22:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sort of hard to say I didn't give a reason if you replied to one. But hey you said it. Anywho thx for the review.--207.235.64.30 (talk) 22:45, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
