[edit] November 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. You may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did to Spider (solitaire), makes it harder to read. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Those links have already been removed before by another editor and it is agreed that they are against the external link guidelines. Wikipedia is not a link directory. Also, please note that your edit summary can be considered a personal attack which is against the WP:Civility policy. Collectonian 16:55, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Spider (solitaire), you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Collectonian (talk) 21:34, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Spider Solitaire
If you would kindly take a minute to check the discussion page for Spider Solitaire, you'll see that there is an ongoing discussion as to whether it is appropriate to include links at the end of the article leading to non-commercial sites to play the games.
- I have been following the discussion on talk, and the consensus is clear that the links will not be included.
I looked around Wikipedia yesterday and there are such links on literally dozens of Wikipedia pages to other games (Dominoes, Reversi, Canasta, Minesweeper, Pac-Man, and so on).
- I encourage you to create an account and work with WP:Spam to remove inappropriate linksfrom articles far and wide.
If I am to be "warned" for restoring the links, is it not "fair" also to "warn" those who delete them??? An "edit war" takes two parties and it isn't right to disable the editing of only one side.
- No. You had reverted that page three times, within hours of the protection being lifted. You were reverted by three different people. The discussion is over now, the links will not be included. Please drop the stick and back slowly away from the horse carcass.
Wikipedia needs to set a clear rule and have it be applied consistently across the board in such cases.
- We have created the rule. However, due to the nature of wiki it is impossible to apply any rule consistently across the board. Most everyone works to improve articles, and bring them closer to our standards, but we will never be finished.
In the absence of a clear rule, I think I have every right to restore the links any time anyone else deletes them.
- You obviously don't, as you now find yourself blocked from editing by still a forth person who disagrees with your assertion. I hope you will use your block to consider ways that you can contribute constructively to Wikipedia, rather than carrying on this futile external link crusade. Cheers, ➪HiDrNick! 14:54, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
The links to non-commerical sites to play game on many Wikipedia pages for games are absolutely non-controversial on those pages. I fail to see why Spider Solitaire cannot have such links. They provide a convenient way for those who have read about the game to play it. They provide a kind of "experential knowledge" that merely reading about a game cannot provide. The discussion page on this topic has been far from uniform. Others have reverted the page repeatedly without being blocked. Others have violated Wikipedia rules on civility and assuming good faith without being blocked. For DrNick to suggest I open an account and contribute to purging Wikipedia pages of such links when he knows I support the presence of such links is smarmy and condescending. 206.74.61.67 (talk) 15:31, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Non-commercial does not mean you can add as you like, Wikipedia banned user to promote product. Also Wikipedia banned user from adding the link Direct that require external applications (such as Flash or Java) to view the relevant content, except it really needed to do so. I'm follow the rules only, sorry for this. --Aleenf1 09:03, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Just a note to say I hope you keep up the good fight to make sure the links stay on the Spider page. HiDrNick seems like an awful bully. Don't let him get you down! 198.204.92.193 (talk) 21:28, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
To all other Wiki-users. Please do not delete things from MY discussion page. Such behavior is outrageously inappropriate. 206.74.61.67 (talk) 14:26, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
The links are not appropriate, as per Wikipedia: External Links. Please read up on our policies. You say that the site is not commercial? I have to disagree, as the website is at a .com, this site may have been created by another user, but it is still a commercial site in that the host providing the .com suffix earns revenu based off of traffic from that site.— Dædαlus→quick link / Improve 09:40, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Following the logic in the above comment, no Wikipedia article could include links to a .com website. The issue is whether the site charges users and not what its suffix is. 206.74.61.67 (talk) 15:34, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users.
