Please do not add commercial links or links to your own private websites to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. — Graibeard (talk) 21:53, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] CNC - toolingU

Assuming you're refering to this edit, what the edit summary is talking about is the reversion tool used - follow the link.

Regarding the reason for the revert. ToolingU already has a link within the article to it's own wiki page, there is no need for another one disguised as an external link. The linked page is nothing but spam, it is not a History and Definition of CNC but instead is an ad for a free trail course about the History and Definition of CNC 100, the second part is a list of terms that are either already described in the wiki or with little effort could be. — Graibeard (talk) 21:53, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Removing warnings from your talk page

You really shouldn't remove warnings from your talk page, but either way, it doesn't matter as the warnings are saved in the page history. You have been given your final warning about adding spam links to Wikipedia. The next time you add a link to ToolingU, you will be blocked. --Chuck Sirloin 01:55, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Tooling U

What you are doing IS spam. Your IP is owned by Jergen's, the parent company for Tooling U, which represents a conflict of interest. You are adding links to your company's web page which is a for-profit company. The links you add contribute nothing to the articles and serve mainly to bring traffic to your page. For example, your last link added to Hysteresis is a page which contains the following helpful information "The delay between the action and reaction of a measuring instrument. Hysteresis is the amount of error that results when this action occurs. Learn more about hysteresis in the class "Linear Instrument Characteristics 115" below." That is not helpful in anyway because it does not add anything that the article does not already say. Its just spam, plain and simple. If you do not understand why people are reverting all of your link additions you should read up on the rules for external links. If your links were important enough someone else would add them. And yes, I do remove spam links as a hobby to keep this encyclopedia from becoming a spammed out directory of commercial links. --Chuck Sirloin 17:06, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] September 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at User talk:206.180.164.162, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Moogle10000 17:09, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Please stop. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did to Tooling University, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Tooling Univ. is located in Cleveland, OH ... This IP address is from Cleveland, OH. Mighty suspicious I think. Moogle10000 17:11, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
