School IP address Attention:

This IP address, 206.172.38.200, is registered to Lambton Kent District School Board and may be shared by multiple users of an educational institution. If the institution uses proxy servers, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason a message intended for one person may be received by another. Similarly an innocent user may be blocked for another user's vandalism. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please read our advice on this situation.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider a soft block with the template {{schoolblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of persistent vandalism from this IP address, anonymous editing may be disabled for up to 1 year at a time. Abuse reports may also be forwarded to your school administration for investigation.
School staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.
This IP has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to abuse of editing privileges. Further abuse from this IP may result in an immediate block without further warning.

You do NOT remove a notice that says "do not remove this notice". I have put it back, and if you remove it again you will be blocked almost instantly. You'll be unable to edit so fast that your head will spin. Remove it just once more and consider yourself banned. You have been warned.--Honeycake 17:28, 15 Nov 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked for vandalism

RE: [1] You have been blocked for 3 months for continuing to vandalise Wikipedia despite repeated requests not to. Please note that this is now your sixth block, and any further acts of vandalism will result in a significantly longer ban. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. Until that time, you will be able to read all articles on Wikipedia, but not make any page changes. Should you have any questions regarding this block, please do not hesitate to contact me directly. Best regards, Hall Monitor 19:22, 1 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Response

This is a public IP address spanning 100+ computers within the school. I acknowledge that vandalism is occur rabidly, but I do not believe blocking the whole IP set. Now with this knowledge, feel free to judge as you will.

For further information on the school, look into Tilbury District High School in Tilbury, Ontario.

[edit] Response

This is a school network!

And, therefore, the school needs to take steps to prevent vandalism by its students (or anyone else, for that matter) immediately. This IP has been blocked several times—once for an extended period—and two edits to Paparazzi this morning indicate that the vandalism will continue unabated until these steps are taken. The alternative is an indefinite block imposed by Wikipedia Sysops, forcing users in your network to register accounts and log in to edit articles. RadioKirk talk to me 14:25, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
