Yes, you're right, those two 8-QAM constellations are the same. That was foolish of me. I will dig out another alternatie 8-QAM and upload that instead. By the way, if you plan to contribute regularly, you might want to create an account — it's quick, free and means you get to build up a list of good edits such as these ones!
