Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.
Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 204.210.255.237). Logging in does not require any personal details. There are many other benefits for logging in to Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can type {{helpme}} on this page and an experienced Wikipedian will be around to answer any questions you may have.
Please note these points:
- Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
- Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Both adding such unreasonable information and editing articles maliciously are considered vandalism.
The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, ask me on [[User_talk:{{{1}}}|my Talk page]] – I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia.
[edit] Please respect Wikipedia
Hello. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you.
Things like sound are very subjective even audiophiles cannot agree on what is good sound. Just read about the test that Thomas Edison did, I know it shocked me! Remember to keep your submissions or edits NPOV and please refrain from editing the Bose Headphone Family page just to promote Trolling (editing in a fashion which will make users angry and grounds for starting a flame war) or Vandalism. Neither are allowed in Wikipedia, and I am not the only one that would appreciate it if you refrain from those types of edits. Thanks.
[edit] Careful with edits, re: Bose Headphones
While I personally agree with your assessment and criticisms, the purpose of an encyclopedia is not to put forward subjective claims about audio fidelity in such a way as to avoid objective analysis. UKPhoenix and I are currently trying to modify the Bose Headphones article to achieve a NPOV, starting at the most controversial points and working up. I (and, at least in my experience, he) welcome help in doing so. Please make use of the talk page to discuss potentially controversial edits before upping them, as vandalization will only be reverted and frustrate all parties involved. You may feel you're fighting the good fight in trying to oust Bose as ripoff artists, but the fact of the matter is that they have their supporters and they're quite successful. We don't have to like it. This isn't, after all, a blog, and it's important to remember that we have to establish and maintain a neutral point of view. Please, help us improve the article and bring it in line with the goals of Wikipedia - but do so through the established mechanisms, rather than trolling, acontextual edits that will only be reverted as vandalism.JBkar 08:33, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
