[edit] Talk page for The Secret film
I have deleted your comment, copied below, at the talk page for The Secret film.
Boy, I wish anyone was still reading this particular thread. Where to begin? The "Law of attraction" carries as much meaning as the "Law of repulsion" or the "Law of fluidity" or the "Law of smelly feet". It is absolutely meaningless, but smacks of some vaguely palatable jargon from 6th grade science class: "I think I remember hearing something about a 'law of attraction' when we covered electric charge". Why are you concerned with defining the spurious semantics of quick-money-infomercial-neo-hippy-uber-lefty-conspiracy-theorist-touchy-feelly-bullshit as a "principle" or a "concept"? The term "Law of attraction", in any reference to the weight carried by wishful thinking in bringing about real change in the physical world, is mere jabberwocky. Is it just me, or does this sound oddly like the concept of Karma? Both seem easily accounted for by realizing that positive thinking doesn't make your reality, it just makes you perceive the reality you experience in a more positive light.
The above is considered "off-topic". The talk page is for discussing improvements to the The Secret (2006 film) article. It is not a forum for general discussion about the article's subject.
