Welcome
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. For one thing, if you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question and then place {{helpme}}
before the question on your talk page. Again, welcome! Dancter 02:48, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Hipster. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. If you feel that the edit I reverted should not have been reverted, please contact me. Hagerman 02:29, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Welcome, and thank you for experimenting with the page Bill Bryson on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. - If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Stand-up comedy, you will be blocked from editing. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. Corpx 00:08, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Jazz, you will be blocked from editing. Special-T 03:01, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Why bother with more warnings?
Note that the latest “edit” by this user was this one on Kilogram, wherein he/she not only deleted the glossary (which is internally linked to dozens of times in the article), but he/she also deleted all the links to the foreign-language versions of Kilogram. The virtues of this user’s edits don’t seem to outweigh this user’s damage (intentional & otherwise). The warnings posted here (numerous “Last” warnings) seem to have no effect and it is doubtful the user knows how to visit this talk page. I hope he/she is simply blocked sooner rather than later. This is the discussion page for an anonymous user, identified by the user's numerical IP address. Some IP addresses change periodically, and may be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users. Registering also hides your IP address.
