[edit] January 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Tolkāppiyam. When removing text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Triwbe (talk) 11:55, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make any unconstructive edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant warnings.

Hi, the recent edit you made to Prem C. Pandey has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. [edit] Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:45, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding edits to Prem C. Pandey

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Prem C. Pandey do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: 'googlepages\.com' (link(s): http://account1.rahul.googlepages.com/publications) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! SquelchBot (talk) 10:58, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Junk links for Prem C. Pandey

Hello. This version of the article on Prem C. Pandey was a terrible mess. In this pair of edits, you have made it very much worse.

Please read what's written about external links, carefully.

Or look at examples. Here is one.

If you continue shoveling links into this article, one or more of the following is more likely to happen:
  • The article will be protected.
  • You will be prevented from editing the article or anything else.
  • Deletion of the article will be proposed.

I hope that you understand. -- Hoary (talk) 08:29, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive or hard to read formatting, as you did to Prem C. Pandey, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Your edits have been reverted. Toddst1 (talk) 12:49, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Toddst1 has just now reverted himself, restoring (?) the article to the poor state in which you left it. Toddst1 trusts that you are going to improve this mess very quickly. In order to improve it, you're going to have to make radical changes to the way you edit. For one thing, IFF you ascertain that an external link is worth adding, you should add it like this:
* [http://blahblahblah title_of_page], optional_description_of_page
I hope that this is clear. -- Hoary (talk) 14:38, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

This edit of yours is just one of several you have made that show that you either haven't bothered to read what's written above or have chosen to ignore it. I've now put it in red to make it more conspicuous. I strongly suggest that you read it. -- Hoary (talk) 09:35, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Prem C. Pandey. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

[edit] Adding meaningless junk

In this edit, you added a link to a Wikipedia article titled "Handbook of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar prize winners (1958-1998) (ZIP format)".

Do you seriously believe that there will ever be a Wikipedia article titled "Handbook of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar prize winners (1958-1998) (ZIP format)"?

Do you have any idea of what you're doing, or are you just amusing yourself by adding meaningless junk? -- Hoary (talk) 14:20, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. There have been numerous attempts to encourage you to add links more constructively to articles, and you are ignoring all of them. Please stop
