[edit] Blacklisted

Your ISP, AsiaNet has been blacklisted by the The Spamhaus Project (and therefore us) for being a persistent source of spam. Anonymous editing and account creation from this IP address has been indefinitely banned until this issue has been resolved by your ISP. Please direct all complaints to them with reference to http://www.spamhaus.org/sbl/sbl.lasso?query=SBL51609. Note that all account requests from this network must be made from an @asianet.co.th email address so that we can verify that you are a legitmate user on this network. --  Netsnipe  ►  16:16, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

  • In response to the {{unblock-auto}} template posted here: please note that this IP is not autoblocked, but blocked directly as indicated above. the {{unblock}} template is to be used to contest a block in this case, but is unlikely to result in an unblock, given the concerns above. --Kinu t/c 06:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Someone seems to not understand that this IP is one of the main proxys for an ISP (possible several outgoing connections) due to government control of all outgoing connections in Thailand. If you force most users via a couple of proxys in the US you would seemingly have a lot of 'spam' from one IP too.

But, again, the spamhaus-morons shows no sign of understanding this and blocks the IP. Cute.

Exactly. I'm in Thailand at the moment, and the ISP I'm on is True Internet, not AsiaNet (I think True may use AsiaNet connectivity). Apparently this is my IP address. If I didn't yet have a Wikipedia account, it would theoretically be impossible with this block for me to set one up - because I don't have an asianet.co.th address. --Tim 00:54, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
