[edit] Your edits to Talk:Joe Szwaja and Talk:Jean Godden

Hello, I was asked to take a look at your recent edits to Talk:Joe Szwaja and Talk:Jean Godden, specifically these comments: [1] [2]. Another editor was concerned that you may be violating Wikipedia's policy on legal threats. These are not allowed on Wikipedia, and editors who make legal threats may be blocked from editing.

My opinion is that your comments do not constitute legal threats, because you refer to "community based action", rather than filings in a court of law. However, I strongly advise you to avoid using such words as "libel", and threatening to pursue such things as "community based action[s]", whatever that may be, because this appears to be an attempt to intimidate other editors, and as such is unlikely to lead to a cooperative, civil discussion. It is, as well, entirely possible that other editors may perceive such comments as legal threats. Please try to solve whatever difficulties you have with other editors through civil discussion on the articles' talk pages; if this proves impossible, please follow Wikipedia's dispute resolution proceedures. --Akhilleus (talk) 20:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, I appreciate your taking a look at this and helping the several editors involved in this silly edit war reach some sort of consensus.201.240.31.236 20:30, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I want to assume best faith by Mikesmash and have to believe he missed the copyright template notice that much content had been copy and pasted from another website verbatim and that there were no instances of page blanking. This editor assumed that since the standard copyright template states that it must remain up until administrator intervention that indeed it must remain up until administrator intervention. Some edits were made to the base article (removing all the links to the copywrited material) and rewording some of the language, but in place were no new cites at all and the warning notice was removed. I replaced it several times after recent change patrol bots thought it was vandalism. The campaign volunteer editor asked that I be blocked and I was blocked for less than an hour until the blocking admin saw what had happened. I am in no way affiliated with either campaign and have largely tried to either insert sourced materials, added cites, and removed POV statements.201.240.31.236 20:53, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
I've decided to register myself so as to avoid claims of sockpuppetry and the like. After I get my name I will come back and place a trace201.240.31.236 21:38, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

thanks, I already saw that. I would appreciate it though if you could look through the history of the pages to revise your comment that my first contribution was a copyright violation notice, you can clearly see both on the talk page and article page that my contributions predated that noice.Bevinbell 22:32, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
