Please do not add content without citing reliable sources. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule . Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Jmlk17 21:45, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Dear Jmlk17 as you can see I'm just trying to add some facts of the Pac-Man World Championship to the Pac-Man page always based on true facts occurred on June 5th last year in NY, to verify and confirm these facts the last time I edited the page I also included some external links of articles from the New York Times, Fox News and Xbox, so I want to know why I receive the Edit Warning and Why these changes to the page cannot be done, Thank's Wayne"

Decline reason: "The issue is that you continue to make the same edit over and over when it is obvious that the edit is being contested. When the block expires, please carry on a conversation on the article talk page and explain your position in detail, with relevent references so that others may comment. By using the article talk pages, consensus can be reached. Continually making the same contested edit, even if you are right, is a violation of the three revert rule and merits this block. Also read essays like WP:BRD and WP:1RR, which discuss ways to civilly handle contested edits without resorting to multiple reverts. — Jayron32.talk.contribs 07:24, 28 January 2008 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Okay. In your last edit you have attempted to provide references (the proper format of references is discussed here), and the edit was mislabeled as vandalism. That said, you shouldn't have immediately (and then repeatedly) re-added the material when your edit was reverted; instead, you should have discussed its inclusion at some talk page. I will unblock you, as long as you promise not to immediately revert the removal of your text, and instead to go to Asher196 (the user who initially removed it) and explain why you believe it is relevant and that you have given references. (The following link to your revision will be useful: [1].)

As for the image (Image:Pacmanchampion.jpg), it is currently nominated for deletion from the Commons due to a missing copyright status. Do you confirm that you have made the photo yourself? If so, please edit its description page to add an appropriate copyright tag: {{PD-self}} (if you intend to release the image into public domain, i.e. with no restrictions of use), or a copyright tag for one of the free licenses (common licenses include GFDL or Creative Commons Attribution or Attribution Share-alike license; see commons:Commons:Copyright tags for more details). Please note that licenses that prohibit third-party commercial use or making of derivative works are not considered free enough; on Wikipedia, they are only accepted under restricted fair use policies, on the Commons they are not accepted at all. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 16:28, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
