The 11th FINA Short Course Swimming World Championships will be held in Istanbul, Turkey in April 2012.

FINA announced on April 12, 2008 that Istanbul had defeated the only other bidder Vienna, Austria after a meeting of the FINA Bureau in Manchester,UK.

The events will take place at Sinan Erdem Dome, which has a seating capacity of 22,500.
