The 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup tournament that will take place in Colombia. It is the 19th version of this tournament and is preceded by the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup that takes place in Egypt. FIFA made the announcement on May 27 2008. Colombia was competing against Venezuela who had also presented its candidacy to host the event. The cities that have been designated to host the matches are: Bogota, Medellin, Cali, Barranquilla, Manizales, Pereira, Armenia and Cartagena
