30-May-2007: Today, I have linked Template:Year_nav_topic2 as the top nav-box in about 30 earlier/later LGBT articles (such as "1886 in LGBT rights" and "2001 in LGBT rights"). That nav-box is used in over 400 year-in-topic articles, to allow a 20-year selection range and connect to years in Art, Architecture, Music, Science, etc. The effect is to allow users to navigate articles faster, and to branch outward to related subjects (such as "1999 in art"); however, no increased visibility back to LGBT occurs, so linking to Template:Year_nav_topic2 is NOT a grandstanding act to focus attention; any outside links back to LGBT articles are unchanged, and the effects are only seen within the connected set of LGBT articles. -Wikid77 06:38, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
