The 2009 Maccabiah Games (Hebrew: המכביה ה-18 ישראל תשס"ט) will be the 18th incarnation of the games. The organizing committee believes that this will be the largest games held yet. The American delegation will be arriving one week prior to the games to hold practice sessions at a cost of almost one million dollars.[1]
