[edit] 2008 Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup season
- Point system : 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for 10th. Extra 1 point for fastest lap in each race and 1 for pole position in each venue. Drivers that do not take part in one of the 4 first rounds (1) weren't eligible to appear in the final standings and so they do not score any points. Team designate two eligible drivers for teams standing in each venue.
- Races : 2 race of 25 minutes by rounds.

This is the first season of the WEC series[3]. It include the French Formula Renault championship rewarding the best french driver[4].
- Point system : 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for 10th. In each race 1 point for Fastest lap and 1 for Pole position.
- Races : 2 race by rounds (first between 60 and 80 km, second between 20 to 30 minutes).

The season include 20 rounds. The final standing was established with the best 18 results of the season. A Graduate Cup (G) classification is also established for young drivers.
- Point system : 32, 28, 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 for 20th. In each race 2 points for Fastest lap.
- 2 races in each round between 30 miles and 30 minutes.
The round 10, in the Croft Circuit, was unable to be held due to adverse weather. Meanwhile, Riki Christodoulou grab the pole position on Saturday[6].

The season include 12 rounds in 8 veues. The final standing was established with the best 10 results of the season. A Club Class classification is also established for young drivers (see 2008 Formula Renault BARC Club Class season below), they participe on the same race as the FR2000 series

[edit] 2008 Formula Renault BARC Club Class season
The season include 12 rounds in 8 venues. The final standing was established with the best 11 results of the season. The Club Class category is raced in same time as the main Formula Renault BARC FR2000 series. The cars use Tatuus or Mygale chassis and are powered by Renault Laguna 2.0L 6 valves engine providing lower Horsepower than the FR2000 class.
- Point system : 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. In each race 1 point for Fastest lap and 1 point for Pole position.
- Races are between 30 miles and 30 minutes.

The series is include in the Panam GP Series.
- Point system : 30, 24, 20, 16, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 for 10th. Extra 1 point for Fastest lap and 1 point for Pole position.
The Formula Renault 2000 and 1600 Junior championship were cancelled on May 2008 by Alfonso Toledano, the president of the Panam GP Series[14]. A part of the engaged teams withdrew their commitment and force the series to cancel the Latin American venues due to low participant.

Drivers that race less than 5 rounds don't receive any points for the final standing. The team point attribution is different from the driver point system : 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
- Races : 2 races by rounds.
The Asian Challenge Category (A) reward the best asian driver. The China Formula Renault Challenge (C) reward the best driver including only rounds held on China. The IFC Trophy (IFC) reward the young drivers.

This is the first season of the Formula 2000 Ligh held in Italy. The series use Tatuus Formula Renault or Formula 3 chassis with Renault 2000cc maximum engines and Michelin tyres.
- Point system : 32, 28, 24, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 for 15th. In each race 2 point for Fastest lap and 3 for Pole position.
- Races : 2 races by rounds.
The championship reward several categories :
- Over 35 : for drivers older than 35 years old (+).
- Under 17 : for drivers younger than 17 years old (-).
- Formula 3 : for drivers using Formula 3 chassis (F3).

This is the first season of the Fórmula 4 Metropolitana series held on Argentina[25]. Cars use Renault Clio K4M engine (1598cc) with low power than the main Fórmula 4 Nacional series. Teams can choose chassis manufacturer (Tulia, Tito...).
The series is held in the same rounds than its main series Fórmula 4 Nacional.
