The 2001 Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, played on January 1, 2001, was the 30th edition of the Fiesta Bowl. The game was played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona between the Oregon State Beavers (ranked #5 in the AP Poll) and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (ranked #10 in the AP Poll).

In the game, Oregon State quarterback Jonathan Smith threw for 305 yards and 3 touchdowns and led the Beavers to a 41-9 rout. Chad Johnson had two of the touchdown receptions and future Cincinnati Bengals teammate T. J. Houshmandzadeh caught the other touchdown. The Beavers scored 29 points in one eight-minute stretch of the third quarter to put the game away.[1]

Smith was the named the offensive player of the game, and Beavers linebacker Darnell Robinson, who recorded two sacks, forced a fumble, and made an interception, was the defensive player of the game.
