2001 AFC Women's Championship

The 2001 AFC Women's Championship was a women's football tournament held in Taipei, Taiwan between December 4 & 16 2001. It was the 13th staging of the AFC Women's Championship. The 2001 AFC Women's Championship, consisting of fourteen teams, served as the Asian Football Confederation's qualifying tournament for the 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup. Asia's three berths were given to the two finalists - Japan and Korea DPR - and the winner of the third place play-off, China.
