[edit] Introduction to Nickname
This page was created to give you any history of the term 2-Bar Quack and the person behind it.(Which is a nickname that was created for me, but not by me. Because of this, I can not give you my real name) Now there is a little history of this and also you can find some of this infomation all over the net. A lot of different places such as myspace and also wafro. I believe some was on HBO webpage and also on here now. The facts are that it is a nickname of mine and has stuck for a couple of years. Some people only know me by this name or I guess you can call it a handle.(A name that programmers give themselves to put their sign on their work)
Let's see, I started using the nickname about 6 years ago while hanging out with my friends.. My friends said any time I laughed in a certin way(my friend know what I mean by this)I would begin to Quack. This, plus the whole idea of the 2-Bar's(again, an inside joke) begain the whole 2-Bar Quack thing. I took it a little farther than I probably should have. I have other nick names which friends use including Grown #$# Man(There might be kids on here, LOL), 2-Bar Quack, and Bin Laden(if you see my beard in the picture, you would understand why people have done this.
[edit] About 2-Bar Quack
I'm a 27 year old Web Designer who works for EMS.
Electronic Merchant Systems. I enjoy building WebPak solutions(not a spelling error)for merchants who run their own online business. Single with no kids makes my job a little easy to do because the restraint usually from someone in the business is that if you have kids, it's harder to do your job and keep it. I enjoy playing video games. In fact, some of my friends say that I'm addicted to some games but I just laugh at them. I do enjoy building websites though and below are a few examples of sites that I have created while working for EMS.
I'm a big fan of Cleveland sports. I love the Browns, Indians, and Cavs. My favorite players from each team has to be Travis Hafner for the Cleveland Indians, Braylon Edwards of the Cleveland Browns, and of course, Lebron James of the Cleveland Cavs. Now I'm not a fair weather fan. I always been a fan of all three of these teams and if you look at the records of all three of these teams, The Browns won a title in 1964 and the Cavs were in the finals in 2007. I remember when before Lebron came to our town from Akron, we had nothing in Cleveland and it was bad days back then. Anyways, a little off topic, but let's say I support our teams here in Cleveland.
I went to school at Avon High School in 1995 and graduated in class of 1999. I then took some time off partying and hanging out with my friends. Years later, 2003, I decided that I had enough of the deadend jobs and went back to school at ITT Tech in Strongville Ohio. I went to school for a while(even though I already knew Web Design for years, you got to have that paper nowadays in the business world to be taken serious). I graduated from ITT Tech in 2005 and started working right away at a place called May Credit, which at the time was in the process of being bought out by anther company called Macy's. Macy's Clothing Chain During this time frame, I worked for the credit card department. I was the guy who you got on the phone if your credit score was too low and you had to get permission to get that sale to go through. Yeah, so lots of people hated me during Christmas, but it was important for me because I needed a job that I could put on my resume for computers. Until then, it was all burger, fries, and Ko-Karts(I wish I was joking).
After getting fired(released, all employee's were released from May during the merger), I put my resume online and got an interview for Electronic Merchant Systems some where around Feb, of 2006, to come work for them as a Web Designer. I was very excited but nervous.
[edit] EMS and Being a Web Designer
I am in my Second year as a Web Designer here at Electronic Merchant Systems and it's great. I enjoy my job and the people that I work with. My department is on the 13th floor of the Crown Centre so it's an intesting place to work at. The one thing that is not cool about working here in Independence Ohio is that the traffic is crazy out here. I usually drive 480 back and forth from Elyria to Indpendence. It gets pretty crazy trying to make it through that area.
[edit] Mike Wood
He owes all some of his success to his old friend Michael Wood that he met in grade school in Avon. Without him, he wouldn't have found in niché in computers. Mike Wood was one of the people that introduce 2-Bar Quack to computers and into some of the great programs.

[edit] eBay Developers Conference and eBay Live 2007
I was at the event that night and it was amazing all the different developers I was able to meet during my time there in Boston. I got to meet direct people who create Prostores shopping cart. I did the Prostoreswikipedia entry. So I was very impressed and learned even more information about Prostoresand I'm working on another version of what I already have up on Prostoresentry page. You can see a image of me on stage at the eBay event
I was excited about the whole thing because it was the first time I was in Boston. The first time I ever been to a trade show(Of any kind) and first time being considered as a developer. Which is great because I finally got the respect that I deserved for the hard work I put in as a eCommerce Web Designer.
While at the event, I was able to meet the Founder of eBay which is [Pierre Omidyar]. He was a real cool dude, I was surprised how laid back and awesome this guy was. He talke about the early days of eBay and how it wasn't even called eBay at first and how the pages kept crashing when he was trying to show it to the first investor of eBay, Robert Kagle.
