AWM Caption: DALLMAN HARBOUR, NEW GUINEA. 1945-11-04. TROOPS OF 2/3 INFANTRY BATTALION, ATTENDING A MEMORIAL SERVICE OF THANKSGIVING FOR VICTORY AND REMEMBRANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE UNIT WHO FELL IN THE AITAPE-WEWAK CAMPAIGN. THE TROOPS ARE IN A HOLLOW SQUARE AROUND THE DAIS ERECTED FOR CHAPLAIN R.R. HARLEY TO ADDRESS THE PARADE.
