For Smoth 007 and any other interested party--I think it can be seen that I am expanding this article as quickly as I am able. There is a lot of history to cover, however, including its B-29 service in WWII and it's SR-71 operations. This is part of a greater project recording the history of the 9th Bomb Group, which is also half completed. I am writing that one on my user page, but since this article existed in rudimentary form already, I am more or less compelled to write it as I go. I appreciate the temporary inclusion of the U-2 trainer role currently performed by the 1st RS at Beale--I may add a snippet to expand upon that role until the rest of the history is written. However, I will not be doing the 9th Reconnaissance Wing page. Too many articles in Wiki have confused the wing for the group and vice versa--my format not only avoids that but I hope clears up any confusion (I am almost done with a rewriteof the 1st Fighter/1st Operations Group--but again, am not going into the 1st Fighter Wing). Any help in writing the 9th RW article to complete the linkage net would be appreciated.Buckboard 16:08, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

I reorganized the article, finished the sections, and removed the stub.Buckboard 07:46, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
