[edit] Activated at Carrickfergus?

The wiki page on the [75th_Ranger_Regiment] states: "The 1st Ranger Battalion was organized and activated on June 19, 1942, at Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland."

This page has no reference to that, only to Scotland - does anyone have some firm information on the origins of the 1st Ranger Battalion?Starviking (talk) 12:04, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
