User talk:19yearoldboyfromNY

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dear 19yearoldboyfromNY, the reason for the above warning is because of this edit that you did a few days ago. On March 7th, you reverted 2000 to the way it was last October. How and why did you do that? Such vandalism showed some of the hallmarks of a notorious sockpuppet, and unless and until I have some clue as to why you would vandalize 2000, I'm going to press for keeping the sockpuppet warning on this page. Please clarify what you were trying to do to 2000 on March 7th. Thanks very much. --Art Smart (talk) 03:16, 11 March 2008 (UTC) To Arthur Smart, I am not a sock puppet, or whatever that is. The edit I made on page 2000 was so I can get a last page so that it showed the calendars of each month of the year which it was missing, but in October seemed to have it.

I hope you learned your lesson not to alter 2000 or any other articles without a really good reason. Reverting 2000 back to the way it existed 5 months ago effectively wiped out all the work put into that article by a lot of people during those five months. It's hard for me to believe that you would do that just so you could see a calendar. Please do not let it happen again. Thanks. --Art Smart (talk) 20:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] 19 year old

If you add that Harris Hawkins was a boy again you will be blocked for disruption. --Stephen 21:48, 14 December 2007 (UTC) to above user, sorry, just trying to keep it factual. it is true, just editing, sorry.

The "fact" is that he was 19, boy is a "point of view". Thanks --Stephen 21:56, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
  • A 19 year old is not a "boy." He is an adult male. Your edits were factually incorrect and removed once before. After the second time you added it, we stopped assuming good faith. Feel free to make additions and edits, just keep them factual and related to the subject of the articles. will381796 (talk) 21:57, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
Also it is extremely rude to edit another persons wording on a talk page, regardless of whether its your own, as you did to Stephens first edit here. Parsival74 (talk) 22:03, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but he mispispelled the person I edited. I was only fixing it. No offense, please.

Yes he did, but you also changed the meaning of the sentence by changing the last word. Parsival74 (talk) 22:10, 14 December 2007 (UTC)

I am adding this warning so that if he vandalizes the page again, admins can see that he has been legitimately warned several times.
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Westroads Mall shooting, you will be blocked from editing. will381796 (talk) 22:17, 14 December 2007 (UTC) (please stop) I already have stopped editing that page.

[edit] Amy Lynn Baxter

It is very important that you read and understand Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Parsival74 (talk) 05:53, 16 December 2007 (UTC) Hello, Parsival174, I have read biographies of living persons. When I created that page, I made sure everything was true and from an official source. I hope it is good.

[edit] The Art of Kissing (film)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article The Art of Kissing (film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of The Art of Kissing (film). [edit] Speedy deletion of Steven Walton

A tag has been placed on Steven Walton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Closedmouth (talk) 07:02, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Patrick Swayze, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Thank you. Please don't add that he has died without sources. -Lilac Soul (talk contribs count) I'm watching this page so just reply to me right here! 21:40, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to 2000, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Art Smart (talk) 01:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sharon Stone

Please stop. If you continue to add defamatory content, as you did to Sharon Stone, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JTBX (talk) Whoever wrote that I made defamatory content on Sharon Stone's page is just ridiculous. I didnt vandalize. I just wrote a Happy 50th Birthday congradulations message. What is it with you people?

I didn't write the message to which you refer, but I think I know why it was written. Your "happy birthday" message may have been well-intentioned, but in an article, any personal messages constitute flagrant vandalism. Think of it as graffiti. If you want to post personal messages, please do so only on a talk (aka "Discussion") page, preferably your own talk page (i.e., this one). Thanks. --Art Smart (talk) 20:51, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Eliot Spitzer

This edit has put you in grave danger of being blocked indefinitely as a vandalism-only account. I suggest you consider whether you want to continue being able to edit here. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:26, 13 March 2008 (UTC) I was not vandalizing, I was editing! I was just adding appropriate sections to the senator.

An important message

This notice has been left for you because another Wikipedia user suspects that, perhaps inadvertently, you may have defamed someone in your contributions. Please recheck your edits. Do not make allegations against someone unless you have provided evidence from a reliable publication, and then make sure you describe the allegations in accordance with our content policies, particularly Wikipedia:Verifiability and Wikipedia:No original research. Don't rely on hearsay, rumours, or things you believe without evidence to be facts, and don't use sources to create a novel narrative. Wikipedia requires reliable sources for all claims. Please see our policy on biographies of living persons.

If you may have inadvertently defamed someone in an article, do two things:

  1. If the material is still there, remove it immediately. You may wish to use an edit summary like "Removing possible defamation" to prevent it from being reverted.
  2. Leave a note on the administrator's noticeboard saying that you have accidentally included defamatory claims in a named article or articles. Do not repeat the claim(s). The revision(s) containing the material can then be deleted from the page history.

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you add defamatory content once again, as you did to Eliot Spitzer, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Mrprada911 (talk) 02:31, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

  • I repeat; you need to be aware of what you can and cannot say here. Wikipedia does not have a First Amendment. Your editing history shows that you haven't learned some of the most basic rules, and next time you break one of them, I will block you. Take some time, please, to get the hang of editing. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:38, 13 March 2008 (UTC) To Rodhullandemu. I apologize for my previous edits. I did not mean to vandalize. I only thought I was being factual. What are some of the editing guidelines I should follow, now that I am aware you cant write just whatever on Wikipedia. Please explain. Thanks.
  • There's a Welcome box at the top of this page; you need to read The Five Pillars. If you don't I guess you'll have plenty of time to do so while unable to edit if you get blocked. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:53, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for you have now removed the sockpuppet tag from your userpage twice. This is not permitted, and you now have some free time to read up on what you can and cannot do here. I've given you fair warning, but you blew it. That's not smart for a college student.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Tom Cruise, you will be blocked from editing. You don't seem to have learned much from your last block. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 23:53, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] April 2008

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to User talk:24.188.204.121. Creamy!Talk 02:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Blocked

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for repeated disruption and vandalism despite repeated warnings to stop and a prior block. Most recent problem is repeated addition of LGBT categories to non-LGBT people, such as Tom Cruise. You were warned to stop this and did not. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
