I would like to keep it. I think it would be an interesting addition if someone built detailed pages about each MOS in the US Army. I know I could certainly list a lot of basics about this one. It would seem rather easy since each MOS has a set of functions that everyone is required to maintain proficiency in. Interesting things like 19K are one of the few MOS's where the lowest ranking members do not carry rifles. They only qualify on them twice a year but otherwise are the only non-officer branch that carries pistols, (except for MP's of course). Lightertack (talk) 08:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] SOT?

Umm... what does this mean? "The highest rank an individual may reclassify into MOS 19K is rank of SOT." I dont recall any rank in the US Army of SOT. And 19K is pretty low on the totem pole for line scores, the issue is that there's not a lot of opportunities for a tanker to upgrade to a more technical/specialized MOS. I cannot think of any other MOS that would not be allowed to reclassify to it, although its considered a step down. I do know that it's generally an un-marketable 'after service' job unless a person made it to Master Gunner or stayed with it up to E-7 or above. Those are the only ways I've seen contractors hire former Tankers. Lightertack (talk) 08:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
