[edit] SonyBMG

19 DOES NOT have an alliance with SonyBMG. As part of the renegotiate for AI, they simply renewed the agreement with Ronagold Ltd (A SonyBMG company) for licencing Idol artists. 19 is an independent company and many artists are / were either on 19's own label which is distributed by Universal (Sam and Mark, Boy least likely to, Emma Bunton, Tamyra Gray) or are / were with other labels (Amy Winehouse - Universal Island, Amy Studt & Rachel Stevens - Polydor, Victoria Beckham - Telstar)

[edit] 19 Artists

Can we come to a decision about who are 19 Artists? The category is "19 Artists" not "Managed by 19 Management". Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Bo Bice etc should be included under this criteria as their recording deals are with 19 and so are still "19 Artists". Kelly should also be a current artist considering that her new single Never Again was released under 19 Recordings Limited.

Perhaps a To Do would be to separate out artists who are managed by 19 vs those recording for 19

[edit] Management

Clay Aiken is now managed by Strategic Artists Entertainment (SAM), as is Bo Bice. Kelly Clarkson is now managed by Starstruck Entertainment. Diana DeGarmo was never signed to 19 Management.

[edit] Amusing Trivia Fact

In Nigeria, Section 419 of the Criminal Code of Justice deals with the crime of obtaining money through fraudulent means. Colloquially, the crime is referred to either as "419" or "nineteen" for short. Given the controversially stringent recording and management contracts that "American Idol" contestants sign with the company, I often think that the company was quite well-named! :) -- Jalabi99 21:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Question of Article's Neutrality/Tone of Voice

This article seems like it was written by 19 Management's PR people. If I didn't know any better, I would say that it was lifted from the company's website (I have not gone there to confirm this, however). Would anyone care to comment on this? -- Jalabi99 21:57, 30 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Criticism?

Could certainly do with some. When I have four or five hours. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.138.156.72 (talk • contribs) 15:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
