I lightened it up. Thanks for the reminder, I get frustrated over edit wars and I have given up editing the main article of controversial pages as a result. I use sources, I do it all by the books, but I have little power because I can't monitor the pages due to having so little time. Thanks though, and I am grateful for the people who have enough time to make WP such a great site.
It's all good man. Wikipedia works on consensus, so I'm glad that the talk pages are available to determine the best course of action. A side note, have you considered adding anything to the BTLS page about this subject? I've noticed that there's not any recent updates on that article besides the announcement that he was returning to the terrestrial airwaves. With such a large portion of his show dedicated to talking about MJ, the BTLS article may be a good place to have something about that in the encyclopedia. Just a thought. FOR THE RECORD, I produced the MJ Morning Show locally in St. Louis for close to a year. MJ does NOT mention other radio shows on the air, by name. Yes, he may make a passing reference to them from time to time, but he does not - as BTLS does in regard to him - mention them by name.
Next time, keep your personal attacks to yourself and only comment constructively on talk pages, per Wikipedia policy. Thanks.--InDeBiz1 (talk) 22:29, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
I thought I made it clear. I wrote...
Both of you are misinformed. He did talk about him over dec07/jan08 about "a sponge returning to florida" and made a big deal about it and led up to an announcement all week, and then said it was something related to the florida aquarium. Also, he has had callers call his morning show and he replied to them that he can't talk because of pending legal matters.
Note Indebiz1... He can't mention BTLS by name, but he has CALL-IN LISTENERS about twice a week. Even if you are the producer, I respect your job position but he does indirectly reference him, and when people call in, he gets them off the phone quickly because he cites pending legal matters. The rivalry between MJ and BTLS is one of the main reasons people tune into the show. I think you may have bias towards MJ but I don't care. I will never edit the main article, only the talk page.
The listeners that call in and mention him do so on their own. MJ, unlike BTLS, does not solicit calls about the other person. Also, your claim that this "rivalry" is "one of the main reasons people tune into the show" is beyond ridiculous. MJ had strong ratings in all of his markets well before BTLS and he'll have them long after BTLS.--InDeBiz1 (talk) 00:32, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I wasn't clear. One of the main reason that BTLS listeners tune into the MJ show is because of the rivalry (mainly during commercial breaks). Also callers call MJ's show and shout rude remarks about MJ and how BTLS is going to become first in arbitron in 3 categories. I'm neutral on these guys. I like MJ because he's more intelligent (especially the afternoon show), but I like BTLS because his show has more testosterone. I am not trying to be critical of MJ. MJ has said on at least 3-4 occasions January about how he isn't going to sink to his level, referring to btls. Also, testimonials from two of the interns (hearsay obviously) their friends say that the interns state that MJ gets extremely mad during the morning show breaks when he learns BTLS is ripping on him. But yes, Rivalry is one of the main reasons that BTLS listeners, tune into MJ during the commercials, more than any other station. I listen to the call-ins on btls and they confirm. I agree with you or the other guy that said it is probably better in the readers interest to put the rivalry on the btls page, not the MJ page, since MJ doesn't devote time on his show to it.

[edit] RE: Page Protection - MJ Morning Show

Hello. The proposed protection is in regard to the main article. Thanks. --InDeBiz1 (talk) 22:27, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
