Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions.

Currently, you are editing without a username. You can continue to do so, as you are not required to log in to Wikipedia to read and edit articles; however, logging in will result in a username being shown instead of your IP address (yours is 198.60.159.10). Logging in does not require any personal details, and there are many other benefits for logging in.

When you edit pages:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such content or editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. For now, if you are stuck, you can click the edit this page tab above, type {{helpme}} in the edit box, and then click Save Page; an experienced Wikipedian will be around shortly to answer any questions you may have. Also feel free to ask a question on my Talk page. I will answer your questions as far as I can! Thank you again for contributing to Wikipedia. Kukini 02:34, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit Summary Request

I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 02:34, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Knock off the junk edits

"chocolate is processed with lye" eh? Enough lies and editorializing from you, please. See Wikipedia:NPOV. More of this sort of stuff can be considered vandalism, for which you can be blocked from editing. Fair warning. -- Infrogmation 22:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to TARDIS

Your edit to TARDIS [1] has been reverted, in accordance with the WIkipedia guideline Wikipedia:Avoid self-reference. The disparity in attention between imaginary and "serious" subjects on Wikipedia is a legitimate point, but that was not the appropriate place to make it. The subject is raised at Criticism of Wikipedia#Systemic bias in coverage; if you have a reliable source for the comparison between the articles TARDIS and poverty, you may add it there. Thank you. —Josiah Rowe (talkcontribs) 00:48, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Oh?

Tell me, which places have I so horribly maimed by adding O'Odham names where they were actually Apache, Navajo, Yavapai, or Maricopa places? I'm all for the removal of the O'Odham name and replacing it with the other name. And check out Lisbon. Portuguese people say "Lisbon", even when speaking "their own version" of English. Same with cities like Warsaw or (to a lesser extent nowadays) Cologne. --Node 06:54, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Your edit to Tohono O'Odham in 2006

What is your source for the statement about "the Thou"?--10:05, 26 December 2007 --Julturney (talk) 18:13, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Please don't be silly

Please don't mess about with joke edits, such as your edit to Ernest Hemingway - we try hard here to produce something we can all be proud of - silliness doesn't help. Articles are monitored and users messing about face a block or a ban. Why not try and contribute something useful instead? Have a look at the below and get stuck in properly:

  Fun stuff...

Thanks - and enjoy yourself as a responsible Wikipedian!
