[edit] Edits to the article Console Wars

Thank you for contributing to this article. However, please remember that here on wikipedia we strive to keep articles as neutral as possible. Please see the guidelines at Wikipedia:Neutral point of view for more information. - ZakuSage

I honestly don't see the problem. The N64 didn't have a completely pathetic life like that portion of the article makes it seem. The article happens to be a history of the console wars, and the games mentioned in my portion actually did help the N64 have a strong fanbase and become second in that era. I've kept in mind that the N64 didn't do as well as the PlayStation and had it's flaws (limited cartridge space, a game library that's lacking in quantity, no CD playback, etc.), but it also had some of the most memoriable and successful games that helped it become a success. So, it's only natural that the article includes some positives about the N64.-Mega Man 5

I've edited your wording to conform to NPOV. - ZakuSage 04:13, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok, not bad. :)-Mega Man 5

[edit] References and sources

Per your attempted additions to the Resident Evil 4 article; if you have references and sources, please add them in, but don't add more unsourced and unverifiable comments to an article that already has so many. Thank you. Geoff B 23:46, 15 January 2007 (UTC)

I've added sources showing proof that my additions to the article are correct.-198.53.60.60

Sadly, your assumption is mistaken. Sources do not show that additions are correct, merely that they are verifiable. 19:13, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

The source I provided includes both videos and screenshots that are not fake. And thus, the information I posted should remain intact.-198.53.60.60

It looks like your source does not pass Wikipedia's verifiable sources policy. See RE4's talk page. Geoff B 01:57, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Resident Evil 4 shrubs

Please, stop adding the stuff about shrubs. The loss in environment detail is already mentioned. There is no reason to say anything about shrubs as the decreased poly count in the PS2 version affects everything from leon's hair cut to the door knobs.Gecks 17:37, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to the RE4 page. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. --23:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

What I posted are facts. I'll continue to post them if they get removed.-198.53.60.60

  • This is your last warning.
The next time you vandalize a page, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --01:26, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Please stop acting like a child and read WP:Verify and WP:Cite. --01:26, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
  • Well, at least most literate children can comprehend a page of text regarding Wikipedia's policies. At least users have warned you that the information you are adding comes from unreliable and crude resources; making it almost as valuable as information from a fanboy's blog site. The information is barely fact since the information could have likely been altered or poorly conducted/recorded by any half-wit. Your IP address and user name have already been listed on the Admin Intervention Page; Any further attempt the add the information will just worsen your ban or disciplinary issues. --  ShadowJester07  ►Talk  01:50, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
At least I don't misspell as often as you. And I know you edited this page to include this section.-198.53.60.60
This will get you nowhere in short order. Why don't you check out Wikipedia's policy on reliable sources? If you persist in this course of action, you're going to end up banned from editing Wikipedia. Why not check around for a better source? Even if the info WAS included in the article, it wouldn't IMPROVE the article, because it's from an unreliable source. There are many, many editors who will not allow you to add unreliable info to an article, ShadowJester is just one of them, and changing names isn't going to fool anyone. Please reconsider, and think about making good edits in future. Geoff B 04:56, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Um, I didn't change my name. It's always been Mega Man 5. I just automatically got this "name" because I didn't bother signing in.-198.53.60.60

[edit] Super Mario 64 addition

Regarding your addition: Firstly, "identical" is mis-spelled, and secondly, the screenshot is blurry and it is unknown if Mario is indeed identical, therefore please do not add this phrase unless you have a source. Andre (talk) 03:43, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

I'll fix the misspell. Then, I expect it to remain because it is very clearly shown (when a larger version of the screenshot is viewed) that Mario is identical in that beta to the way he looks like in the final.-198.53.60.60

[edit] Keep the dream alive!

RE your Nintendo GameCube edit - On what planet is the GCN still fighting for market share? I'm a Nintendo fan, but at some point you have to face reality. Tehw1k1 22:05, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, but the GameCube isn't finished yet. It's still produced, shipped to stores, new games are in development, existing GC games are still in production, etc. Because of those facts, it's only natural that the wording I provided remians on the GameCube page.-198.53.60.60

It is still essentially a dead console. NPD monthly sales figures are in the low 5 digits, and they decline every month. Japan's GCN sales are in the hundreds. And the PS2 sales still destroy it, due to the ps2's massive software library. Your wording makes it seem like its possible that the GameCube will somehow make a comeback, but that time has long passed. It just makes the article seem outdated. Some weak shovelware[1] crapped out by third parties isn't going to rescue the GameCube. If Twilight Princess couldnt make a dent, some crappy movie tie-in game wont either. And there have been conflicting reports on whether or not its still in production.Tehw1k1 03:30, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

It's been confirmed that it's still in production. And it doesn't matter if you're a GC hater, the fact is the GameCube is not officially dead yet and thus my wording on the GC page does not need to be removed and replaced with yours. As long as it's still in production and new games are released for it, it's not officially dead. And there are more games coming (more than just movie-based games too), so the system isn't officially dead yet.-198.53.60.60

"Not officially dead", yet has absolutely no hope of recovering the marketshare it lost compared to the previous gen, which is the real issue. And as I said, I'm not a GC hater or a Nintendo hater. More games? Like what? Did you click the link I posted? That's not going to help save the GC, my friend. Sorry if I seem too sarcastic, its just how I write. Tehw1k1 02:13, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

GC sales may be slow but again as long as the system is still in production and new games are in development and released for it, it's not officially dead. I'm sorry, but that's a fact.-198.53.60.60
