Attention:

This host, sp-internet-ext-ply.uhc.com, is registered to United HealthCare Corporation (US), and may be shared by multiple users. If the organization uses proxy servers or firewalls, this IP address may in fact represent many users at many physical computers.

For this reason, a message intended for one person may be received by another and a block may be shared by many. If you are editing from this address and are frustrated by irrelevant messages, you can avoid them by creating an account for yourself. In some cases, you may temporarily be unable to create an account due to efforts to fight vandalism; if so, please see here.

If you are autoblocked repeatedly, we encourage you to contact your Internet service provider or IT department and ask them to contact Wikimedia's XFF project about enabling X-Forwarded-For HTTP headers on their proxy servers so that our editing blocks will affect only the intended user. Alternatively, you can list the IP at Wikipedia:WikiProject on XFFs.

Caution should be used when blocking this IP or reverting its contributions without checking - if a block is needed, administrators should consider using a soft block with the template {{anonblock|optional comment}} as the block reason.

Note: In the event of vandalism from this address, abuse reports may be sent to your network administrator for further investigation.
IT staff who want to monitor vandalism from this IP address can subscribe to a web feed of this page in either RSS or Atom format.
This IP address has been repeatedly blocked from editing Wikipedia in response to abuse of editing privileges.
Further abuse from this IP address may result in an extended block.

Please see Wikipedia:Blocking IP addresses for more information about the effects of blocks and autoblocks. It is recommended that you notify Wikimedia Foundation Communications Committee should this address be autoblocked.

DCA Corps versus Drum and Bugle Corps

You keep placing Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps in the Category:Drum and bugle corps, but I believe it belongs instead in Category:DCA corps, along with the rest of the corps in its division. You might want to see the guidelines at Wikipedia:Categorization to see why. The DCA category puts it with its sister articles, and the only drum corps in Category:Drum and bugle corps are noncompetitive organizations. If you'd like to explain your reasoning, please reply here or on my talk page. Thank you. Mr Bound 17:17, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits, such as those you made to Arbit Choudhury, are considered vandalism and immediately reverted. If you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the work of others. Thank you. --St.daniel 22:18, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

This is your last warning.

Your recent contribution(s) to the Wikipedia article Gilbert Arenas are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at How to cite sources. Thanks! --AW 16:02, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to American Civil Liberties Union. Unblock request

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Two weeks is unduly harsh for one blanked page by a shared IP."

Decline reason: "Not considering the IP address is routinely used for vandalism. Please either provide reason to believe that this address will no longer be used for vandalism, or consider registering an account once the block expires so you are not lumped in with the vandals operating from this address. — Yamla 17:26, 12 October 2007 (UTC)"

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

Regarding your edits to Montreal Screwjob:

Your recent edit to Montreal Screwjob (diff) was reverted by an automated bot. You think? I see over 500 legitimate edits before this one edit that caused the 3 month IP block. Jeffrey was issuing indef bans to users with legitimate edits and extended bans to anon IPs for vandalism to the Montreal Screwjob article while it was on the main page. At best this was displaying ownership of the article by an admin. At worst it's biting the newbies and admin misconduct. 198.203.175.175 20:24, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Request reason: "This anonymous proxy IP has had over 1000 legitimate edits before being blocked for three months for one bad edit. In addition the blocking admin showed overwhelming zeal in blocking any editors making questionable edits to the Montreal Screwjob article while it was on the main page, blocking many trusted editors indefinitely, and many anonymous IPs for excessively long periods."

I support no unblock. Further I suggest that perhaps UHC IT be contacted. I've done contract work there and I'm pretty sure this sort of misuse is against their policy. ++Lar: t/c 12:19, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

If you have concrete examples of a specific real person (real name) doing specific actions on the site, that information can be sent to UnitedHealth Group. It would be up to that person's boss as to whether any disciplinary action would be taken. Note that UnitedHealth Technologies (UHT) polices internet activity in general and notifies department heads of abuse. UHT does not police activity for specific web sites. Unfortunately, most of the burden is upon Wikipedia to strike a balance between vandalism and useful contributions. Note that UHT's most likely response if asked to act will be to add Wikipedia to the list of forbidden sites at the proxy server, which would be worse than an autoblock. (I am not a UHT employee, and have no power in this area.) Group29 (talk) 19:46, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
