[edit] Images for each storm

Done. Hurricanehink 04:21, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
Everything on its place, work done! juan andrés 02:03, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Well done! Hurricanehink 02:07, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
I realized of a big error, in all the 80's hurricane seasons I put "track map" instead of "storm track". juan andrés 23:47, 26 January 2006 (UTC)
Everything looks fine, so I don't think you have to worry. Hurricanehink 00:23, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Vandalism

Why is this page protected? All of those IP edits were good, IMO. All it did was add the fancy storm pics table thing. Hurricanehink (talk) 12:51, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Look at them more carefully. They take out vital information. Chacor 13:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
I happened to agree with Hurricanehink. I don't get it when you say "take out vital info". If I was editing the page, I could have done something similar to those edits. *gasps* RaNdOm26 15:00, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Let me find the necessary diffs for you. Chacor 15:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Adds nonsense to the top, takes out link to articles on Allison and Chantal. Subtle vandalism that's difficult to spot. Chacor 15:07, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
OOOOOOHHHHHH! That's cheeky. RaNdOm26 15:17, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Wouldn't it be easier to just add the summaries back in? The fancy storm pics aren't unneeded, and they only removed two or three summaries. I wouldn't consider that vandalism. Maybe it's just assuming good faith, but I believe they didn't intend to remove the summaries. Hurricanehink (talk) 17:48, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Its also incorrect though Hink the min pressure of Gabrielle in the addition is 941 mb but the TCR reports 935. One factual error in addition to the nonsense at the top and the subtle vandalism. It should be done from scratch carefully (don't use the anons version).--Nilfanion (talk) 17:52, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, ok, I was just checking. Hurricanehink (talk) 18:05, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Alright, that's it. I am gonna put back some of the good info being reverted and correcting some of it, just because I'm nice. :P RaNdOm26 09:26, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Remember not to use the IP's version. Chacor 09:28, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
And why not? I need to use some of the IP's version for the "fancy storm pics table thing". I'm not stupid. RaNdOm26 09:35, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
As Nilfanion said above, it's best to start from scratch. The template you want is {{infobox hurricane small}}. The talk page of the template should describe its usage. Chacor 09:37, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
There's something that has REALLY irritated me. Those infoboxes give too much info and they don't show up in the main page, such as Total damages, Total fatalities and Areas affected. The 2004 hurricane season article has exactly the same problem. What's going on here??? Is it appropriate to remove those unnecessary info? RaNdOm26 09:49, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

(Unindented for convenience) Yes, it is. The template {{infobox hurricane small}} isn't {{infobox hurricane}}. It's a condensed version which doesn't have info about damages, fatalities or areas affected. Chacor 09:51, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

I am getting the info from the Unisys website. Is this site give official stats or not? If not, what is, and what is a link to that site? I noticed Gabrielle has a low pressure of 927 hPa, instead of 935. RaNdOm26 09:58, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Unisys is completely unofficial, all the official information comes from the National Hurricane Center's Tropical Cyclone Reports. Chacor 10:01, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Is there a link? I don't even know how to get to the reports for 1989 in the site. RaNdOm26 10:05, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
1989's TCRs are very, very messy (they're all split up into images, scanned, as seen by Nilfanion's link above). [1] Chacor 10:11, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
I'm quitting. RaNdOm26 10:16, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
