The 1985 Minnesota Twins finished a 77-85, fourth in the AL West. After a disappointing start, manager Billy Gardner was replaced by Ray Miller. 1,651,814 fans attended Twins games, a Twins attendance record, but still the sixth lowest total in the American League.

Only one Twins made the All-Star Game, outfielder Tom Brunansky.

  • August 1, 1985: Bert Blyleven was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the Minnesota Twins for a player to be named later, Curt Wardle, Jay Bell, and Jim Weaver. The Minnesota Twins sent Rich Yett (September 17, 1985) to the Cleveland Indians to complete the trade. [1]
