The Broncos lost to the Steelers 24-17 at Mile High Stadium Saturday December 30, 1984. The game was televised on NBC. The game was tied at 17-17 with 2 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. John Elway was driving for the winning touchdown, when his pass was picked off by the Steelers, and was run back for a touchdown giving the Steelers a 24-17 victory. The Broncos ended the season 13-4.
