1984 1000km of Sandown Park
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 1984 Sandown 1000 was the eleventh and final round of the 1984 World Endurance Championship season. It took place at Sandown Raceway, Victoria, Australia on December 2, 1984. This would be the first time in the history of the World Championship that a round had taken place in Australia.
This event did not offer points in the Constructors Championship. Already unable to win the Drivers Championship, the Martini Racing Lancias chose not to participate in this event.
An invitational class for Australian sports cars was allowed to compete under the AC title, but did not earn points in the Drivers Championship.
