[edit] Base Set
In 1980 O-Pee-Chee licenced version of the Topps set. It was basically identical to the Topps set, however it only had 376 cards instead of the 726 in the Topps set and had the Topps branding replaced with O-Pee-Chee branding. The cards were printed on lighter grey cardstock, featured bilingual backs, and some had added traded lines. The cards featured a photo with a complementary to the team colours solid border with rounded, the players name in the top centre in a complementary colour, and complementary coloured banners with the team name and player position. Player cards have a facsimile autograph on the front. Team photo (with checklist back) and multiple player rookie cards for the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays were issued, but for no other teams. Size: 2-1/2 X 3-1/2 in.
