[edit] Rationale
The image depicted in the photo, of Pakistan's surrender in the 1971 war, is an iconic one from which changed the entire history of the subcontinent. Sevaral variants of the image have been released and prominently displayed when recalling this war in the Indian subcontinent and this photo is the visual culmination of the war for 3 nations, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Due to its historical nature and significance and non-repeatability of the event, it is requested that this be kept as fair use. --Idleguy 02:34, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
