1977 Hardie-Ferodo 1000

The 1977 Hardie-Ferodo 1000 was the 18th running of the Bathurst 1000 touring car race. It was held on October 2, 1977 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst. The race was open to cars eligible to the locally developed CAMS Group C touring car regulations with three engine capacity based classes.
[edit] Class structure[edit] Class AFor cars over 3000cc, or three litres of engine capacity, the class consisted only of V8 Holden Torana and Ford Falcon. [edit] Class BThe under three litre class featured Mazda RX3, Ford Capri, and a BMW 3.0Si. [edit] Class CThe under two litre class saw a mix of Alfa Romeo Alfetta and GTV 2000, BMW 2002, Ford Escort RS2000, Holden Gemini, Toyota Celica, Triumph Dolomite and VW Golf. [edit] Results
