[edit] Personnel sections in The Beatles albums
These have been compiled from reliable sources and can be verified. It's not appropriate to change them without adding in a source for your version, or discussing the issue on the article talk pages. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 19:16, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
All you need is go to verify the album information, listen the album and read the book by Mark Lewishon. Anyway, theres no information about the "reliable sources". Right now, the section just mention the personnel and the instruments.
- "Listening to the album" is original research and is not permitted; by all means add a reference to Lewisohn's book. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 19:23, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh my god, I said: "verify the album information". Everything is in the album booklet. Ok, listening is original research. I´m sorry. Another source: Allan Polocks Notes... on series. Go check it.
- Sorry, you need to do this yourself, from an independent source. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 19:30, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- re Abbey Road (album) - I don't see you adding a reliable source. Do you have one? --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 20:00, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sources:
Lewisohn, Mark The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions: The Official Story of the Abbey Road Years, ISBN 0-681-03189-1. _____________. The Complete Beatles Chronicle, ISBN 0-600-60033-5.
Pollack, Allan W. "Notes on... series", retrieved from http://www.icce.rug.nl/~soundscapes/DATABASES/AWP/awp-notes_on.shtml
Do you think is enough? They are the best.
- Yes, but you need to put them in yourself, and if you don't your edits are liable to be removed. look at how websites and books are used as references- there are examples in the articles already. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 22:13, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Sources
Excuse me, but I mentioned the sources. I put it in various pages, a give you the names of the authors and the books. I just don´t know what happened. So, if you want block me from editing, go ahead, I don´t care and I don´t have time to discuss anymore with you. You want the pages to have false information and facts, great for you, congratulatons, I´m a beatles expert and you don´t, sorry. Now, block me out.
- The sources must go on each page. A general reference is inadequate. I do want the articles to have correct information, but I also want them to satisfy our core policy of verifiability, and without sources, this is not possible. You have one last chance to get this right; your personal knowledge is just not good enough; it is considered original research. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 17:41, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RE: Instrumentation
According to Lewishon, John played two lead guitars. The tracks were recorded as follows:
1. John: acoustic guitar and lead vocals / Paul: drums. 2. John: lead guitar / Paul: piano. 3. John: another lead guitar / Paul: bass. 4. John: percussion (on the back of an acoustic guitar) / Paul: harmony vocals and maracas. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.40.0.34 20:36, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- You need to cite your source in the article. Otherwise your edits can be reverted or deleted. Ward3001 (talk) 22:43, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Lewishon and Pollack
Please don't refer to them as "foremost experts" without providing some substantial sourcing to that effect. It is POV and not in accord with Wikipedia policy. Thank you. Ward3001 (talk) 22:54, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
- However, you are close to it! If you take a look at Abbey Road (album) or Revolver (album), you'll see how I have fixed up these references. All you need to do is to copy these as they are, into the head of each personnel section, make the changes to the body of the personnel section, and all is fine. Drop me a note if you have any trouble with this. Regards --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 02:02, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
