The 1960 Masters Tournament was contested from April 6 to April 9 at Augusta National Golf Club. It was the 31st Masters Tournament. 83 players entered the tournament and 55 of them made the cut at six-over-par (150).

Rebounding from a playoff loss the previous year, Gay Brewer birdied the 13th, 14th and 15th hole on Sunday to defeat Bobby Nichols by one stroke.

Gary Player finished tied for 6th. Jack Nicklaus missed the cut by one stroke. At the age of 54, Sam Snead finished tied for 10th. In the third round he shot a 66 which was the lowest single round score in the tournament. Ben Hogan also finished tied for 10th. This would be the last time that the three-time champion would play in the Masters. This would be the last Masters tournament that three-time champion Jimmy Demaret participated in. He missed the cut by 4 strokes. Demaret won the Masters in 1940, 1947 and 1950.

Arnold Palmer won the Par 3 contest with a score of 23.
