There was one-game playoff to decide who would represent the Western Conference in the NFL Championship between the Colts and the Packers. The Colts lead the Packers 10-0 at halftime of the 1965 Western Conference Playoffs. The Packers would tie it up late in the 4th quarter with a 22 yard field goal and would later win the game in overtime with a 25 yard field goal.
